Zelensky's fascist-riddled and corrupt wartime dictatorship (he is cancelling elections scheduled for this spring) and his NATO financiers and arms dealers should have sat down with Putin last fall when Russia's northern front collapsed, the encirclement of Kharkiv was defeated, and the Kherson regions was recaptured in the south.
This was exactly what General Mark Milley said at the time: let's sit down and negotiate with Putin from this position of strength. Milley is chair of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. JCOS is the body of the highest ranking officer in each arm of the US military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard...Space Force?) and directly advises the President of the USA.
Instead, the idiots running the American Empire took these tentative victories and parlayed them into another bout of bluster and a lot of new weapons - especially tanks - to spearhead a great spring offensive against the Russians. The Russians were able to sit back for at least seven months setting up the most extensive fixed defensive fortifications seen since the French Maginot Line or perhaps sections of Hitler's Atlantic Wall.
Meanwhile, the Russians threw thousands of mercenaries into a months-long meatgrinder in Bakhmut, a crossroads town. It almost backfired on Putin with the short-lived Wagner Mutiny. However, it has since allowed Putin and especially the military brass to regain total control of the front. Wagner has been formally incorporated into the Russian military structure just as Ukraine's fascist death squads, such as the infamous Azov Battalion, were incorporated into the Ukrainian military after their dirty work in the 2014-15 Ukrainian Civil War (Donbass War) that followed the Maidan Coup.
Here we are, a year later, and the Ukrainian offensive against the entrenched Russian line has been a colossal failure. It was such a failure that it may in fact be the case that Russia has gained more Ukrainian territory in 2023 than Ukraine has recaptured.
Zelensky, Biden and NATO vassal states like Canada find themselves in an even worse position than last fall in the wake of a failed offensive and loss of any momentum and leverage gained from the fall 2022 victories. Now the entire public rationale for pursuing the war instead of negotiations has been completely destroyed by American support for Israeli genocide.
We need to bring both wars to an end to prevent their spread into other regions and the use of nuclear weapons. In these immense dangers to all of us, there is also the prospect of the American Empire losing its bloody hold on continents in which it doesn't belong.
